At Findon High School we believe that incorporating student voice in decision making is critical in ensuring an inclusive and positive school culture where students feel like their belong. Each year a ‘Student Change Team’, comprised of junior school students is formed, this reference group responsible for analysing student achievement data and making recommendations to the school community to bring about change from the student perspective.
This reference group sits outside of the formal student leadership team but is aims to make long term cultural shifts within our student community.
In 2022 the team is focused on numeracy development and has initiated changes within the foundation years leading up to PAT testing.
A range of important qualities are required of Student Change Team members including high level critical and creative thinking skills, team-work capacity, and a forward-thinking attitude, focused on problem solving. Students are nominated for the Student Change Team by their teachers.
