At Findon High School we offer a variety of camps throughout the year.
The Foundation Camp is held at West Beach Caravan Park in Term 1 and is a great opportunity for Foundation students to continue to get to know one another. Activities include Tree Climb, Adventure Rooms, Adelaide Oval tour and a visit to The Beach House at Glenelg on the final day.
The Intermediate Aquatics Camp is held in the final week of Term 4 and is an exciting end to the year. The camp is held at Murraylands Aquatic Centre in Murray Bridge and runs for three days. Activities include knee boarding, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, catamarans, sailing, small boat handling and fishing. Other activities also include minute to win it activities, basic first aid and ten pin bowling on the way home.
The Graduate Camp is held at Victor Harbor. It provides students the opportunity to gain an extra 10 SACE credits. The students participate in a range of group activities such as orienteering, a leaving school game, a tour on the way to the camp site of local tourism regions, a group presentation on a tourism aspect of their choice as well as some individual reflections about their learning and tourism knowledge.
The Ski Trip is offered to all students across all year levels and is held early term 3 at either Fall Creek or Mt Hotham in Victoria. The camp includes bus transfers, accommodation on the mountain, 5 days of skiing or boarding with lessons, lift passes, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. A fantastic opportunity for students to experience the snow as well as the opportunity to gain an extra 10 SACE credits. The next ski trip is planned for 2019.
